In advance of the April 26-28 draft, I'm taking a deep dive into potential Patriots' draft targets due to their fits in New England's scheme.

Positions so far:
Quarterbacks (to get an idea as to how I reached my conclusions, check out my explanation there)
Running backs
Tight Ends

Today: Offensive tackles

Left tackle suddenly became a major need when Nate Solder signed a record-breaking deal with the New York Giants. The Patriots tried to prepare themselves for this scenario by drafting offensive tackle Antonio Garcia in the third round last spring. What the Patriots couldn't prepare for was Garcia missing the entire season with a blood clot issue. Garcia's health and status further clouds the future of the left tackle position. This figures to be one of the spots most likely targeted early in the draft by New England (maybe not given what Greg Bedard recently reported about Garcia).
