Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I try to figure out who's left to play defense for the Bruins...
- So the big news in Boston sports last night, while you were sleeping, was that Zdeno Chara exited the Bruins' eventual loss to the Avs with an apparent knee injury ... and it didn't look good.
- The Bruins have already been without Brandon Carlo, Charlie McAvoy and Kevan Miller on the blue line, so that left mini-mites Torey Krug and Matt Grzelcyk to lead the team in ice time. Colorado scored four goals in the third period.
- Should be an interesting few days around the Bruins.
- The C's finally looked like themselves in blowing out the Bulls, and Jaylen Brown played a very mature game.
- Patriots are trying to find a way to play better on the road.
- Underrated factor in the Titans loss: James White has not been good of late in blitz pickup. Probably a health thing due to his increased hit count. Originally missed a sack charged to him before halftime. White and Tom Brady combined to allow nearly half of the pressure on Brady.
- That missed sack now brings my stats in line with ProFootballFocus: there were only 12 total pressures on Brady in that game — 25.5 percent. That is actually not a lot of pressure.
- I added an up alongside Julian Edelman in 3 up/down ...
