BSJ Daily Briefing 12.15.17: Countdown to Pats-Steelers

Good morning!

A few random thoughts while I thaw out from this deep freeze:

• Little bit disappointed in the Bruins last night in the loss to the Capitals. I know it was the back end of a back-to-back and they got in late from Detroit, but had 2-1 going into third and gave up two poor goals, including one shorthanded, and that was that.


• Brandon Carlo is the midst of a really rough stretch. Agree with Joe McDonald: maybe he just needs to sit and clear his head for a game or two. He's better than he's shown.


• Patrice Bergeron must have been a great interview after a loss and passing Bobby Orr in goals scored. Bergeron is so humble and such a team player, he probably hated the attention.


• The Celtics play host to the Jazz tonight, who have been one of the worst teams on the road this season.


• Tom Brady sounded a lot better on Thursday than he did after the game on Monday night. Think a sickness was part of his issues as well.


• Will have much more to come on Steelers-Patriots later today and tomorrow.
