Good afternoon!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if Super Bowl weeks are always this sleepy...
- So as you've noticed here at BSJ, both B-Robb and Conor have been doing potential trade pieces here and there, and there are more on the way.
- Gordon Hayward spoke to B-Robb about it.
- B-Robb thinks the chances of a deal are higher this year.
- Trading David Backes.
- Trading for a defenseman, like Brenden Dillon of the Sharks.
- But, in the end, will either team do anything that matters? I think the odds are higher the Bruins do something ... and I think they could add two players.
- The Celtics? I don't know. I bet Danny Ainge, similar to last season (how'd that go?), wanted to see what this team could do when together and finally healthy. They do need a bunch scorer, however.
- Good stuff from Micheal Bennett yesterday with Felger & Mazz. His departure was pretty much what we said it was at the time.
- Farewell, Scar. This season was trying for the veteran coach — I've rarely seen him look so tired — but I don't think that's the reason. I just think it was time. He'll stay busy, probably scouting some for Belichick.
Time to hit the links...
