BSJ Daily Briefing 08.13.18: Pats get back to work, Sox keep rolling

Good morning!

• The Pats returned to work through the rain back down at Gillette and the most encouraging takeaway from Greg's training camp report was the heavier workload that Tom Brady had on the afternoon. Looks like we may get our first look of the preseason at him on Thursday.


• Some intriguing cuts within Greg's first projection at the 53-man roster. Very curious to see how the wideout position sorts itself out.


• Red Sox make it a clean sweep on the Orioles on Sunday, giving them 14 wins overall in their last 16 games. At this rate, they are going to have the division wrapped up by mid-September.


• How about 12 strikeouts for Chris Sale in just five innings of work? At this point, the Sox should just worry about managing his workload over rest of regular season. Baby him as much as possible to keep him sharp for the postseason.


• Sox haven't lost a series since July 1st. That's bananas.
