No the jumble of letters and numbers above are not a misprint, I just couldn’t finish typing that horrific sentence, so my wife finished it for me. We've all heard it from others. “This happened to Joe Montana, Brett Favre, and even Michael Jordan! It could happen to Brady!”
Montana, Favre, and yes, even Jordan, are not Tom Brady.
If Brady retires, I will be sucking my thumb in the fetal position until Labor Day. If I have to watch him play for another team, someone please convince the nice doctor it’s alright to let me out of the straitjacket and soft padded room.
In all seriousness, Brady has given Patriots fans 20 blissful years of, unselfishness, dedication, otherworldly work ethic, and winning. His loyalty to Kraft, the team, his coaches and fans, goes beyond anything sports has ever seen. If overpaying and extending Brady’s contract means Patriots fans have to put up with a year or three of mediocre or even worse, New York Jets-level football, so be it. After bringing at least six Super Bowls to New England, owning 99% of quarterback stats, and helping the Patriots claim nearly every NFL winning streak record for over two decades of football utopia? The Patriots owe it to Brady. We … owe it to Brady.
