Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder why the US women's soccer team gets so much criticism...
- What better way to celebrate the 4th than watching the Red Sox' bullpen blow up like a firecracker? A tradition unlike any other.
- I don't know about you, but I felt pretty good once Alex Cora called on Marco Hernandez and he hit the game-winning homer. That was the type of move that made the Sox, the Sox last season. Had flashbacks to Eduardo Nunez's homer in Game 1 of the World Series. A sign of things to come?
- The Red Sox are going to get hot, right? They have to, no?
- Heard this on national radio yesterday: Red Sox win the wild-card game and play the Twins. Who doesn't like their chances with Chris Sale, David Price and Rick Porcello in that situation? And then you have the Astros and Yankees beating each other up on the other side. A return to the World Series is not far fetched, and then you might have Cora vs. Dave Roberts and The Nerds again? I'm just saying...
- Chase Winovich is an interesting cat ... and given the college scheme he played in, and what the Patriots have at his spot, he could get meaningful playing time early if he pops in camp.
- The Revolution overcame like 15 weather delays to win in Colorado ... somebody's getting hot.
