Here's a quick recap of recent Patriots' transactions and their impact on their 2019 salary cap:
1. Learned wide receiver Josh Gordon will not count against the Patriots salary cap while indefinitely suspended. Therefore, his $2,025,000 salary is off the Patriots salary cap and Ja'Whaun Bentley's $570,000 salary will take its place on the Patriots salary cap. Removing Gordon from the Patriots salary cap in effect created $1,455,000 in cap space for the Patriots. My new salary cap space number for the Patriots is now $14,555,891.
If Gordon's suspension is reduced, then his $2,025,000 salary will go back on the Patriots salary and the Patriots will receive a credit on their cap for the number of games he will miss. So if he is suspended for eight games, the Patriots will receive a credit of $952,941 on their cap Week 1.
If Gordon is suspended for the entire 2019 season, he will become a restricted free agent in 2020 and the Patriots will have to place an RFA tender on him in order to hold onto his rights.
2. Signed undrafted free agents (UDFAs) tight end Andrew Beck, safety Malik Gant, wide receiver Ryan Davis, wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, running back Nick Brossette, offensive tackle Calvin Anderson, and cornerback D'Angelo Ross to three-year deals. Their salaries will be:
•$495,000 for the 2019 season
•$585,000 for the 2020 season
•$675,000 for the 2021 season.
Beck received a $15,000 signing bonus and had $100,000 of his base salary guaranteed to sign with the Patriots. Gant got a $10,000 signing bonus and had $75,000 of his 2019 base salary fully guaranteed. Davis and Meyers received $10,000 signing bonuses and had $60,000 of their 2019 base salary fully guaranteed. Brossette received a $7,500 signing bonuses and had $30,000 of his 2019 base salary fully guaranteed. Anderson got a $5,000 signing bonus and had $25,000 of his 2019 base salary fully guaranteed. D'Angelo Ross received a $2,500 signing bonus and had $15,000 of his base salary guaranteed to sign with the Patriots. Only their signing bonus prorations currently count against the cap.

- Myers: $3,333
- Davis: $3,333
- Gant: $3,333
