Bedard's Daily Briefing 04.03.19: Red Sox now 1-5 after another shutout, Bruins gain home ice, Suh, and Horford taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Good morning!

A few random thoughts while I wonder how Alex Cora reeeeaallly feels about this start for his team...

  • The Red Sox' lost Western Adventures continued with a second-straight shutout loss to the Athletics.

  • The Sons of Alex Cora, who could do no wrong last year, have now lost four straight — something that never happened last year.

  • To boot, Chris Sale made like Casey Fossum  ... ok, that's hyperbole, he still found a way to be effective, but yeeesh. How much money did they just give him?

  • To make matters worse, Xander Bogaerts got thrown out at third to lead off the ninth inning when he tested the arm of Laureano AGAIN. To make matters worse, X jogged out of the box and hesitated around second.

  • That leaves us here...

  • In better Boston news, the Bruins took care of business and will have home ice over the Maple Leafs in the first round. And Brad Marchand notched his 100th point. Thought this was funny and accurate...
