PREGAME NOTES

Despite winning four in a row and 17 of their last 21 games, the Bruins are set for a tough test on Monday against a Lightning club that’s separated itself from the pack for most of the 2018-19 season.

While
Torey Krug, Matt Grzelcyk
and
Kevan Miller
are not yet cleared for a return, although Bruce Cassidy did note that Krug could be a possibility for Wednesday night against the Rangers. Marcus Johansson was originally tabbed as a game-time decision, but will not play Monday. Karson Kuhlman will take his place on the second place.

Tuukka Rask
will get the start in net on Monday. In 26 career games against the Lightning, Rask is 17-8-1 with a .909 save percentage.

Boston
during their last meeting at TD Garden back on Feb. 28. Still, the Lightning present
for an even the most well-rounded opponent.

The Lightning will not have two regulars on the blue line in
Anton Stralman
and
Dan Girardi
for Monday’s game, although Tampa has largely been able to avoid the injury bug this season. While Tampa has only had to use 24 skaters this season, Boston has had to use 35.

Tampa Bay will also not have the services of winger
Yanni Gourde,
as the 20-goal scorer will sit out the second game of his two-game suspension after delivering an illegal check to Carolina’s
Jordan Staal
last week. However, with a win on Monday, the Lightning will become just the fourth team in NHL history to win 59 or more games in a regular season, joining the
the 1977-78 Montreal Canadiens (59 wins), 1976-77 Canadiens (60) and 1995-96 Detroit Red Wings (62).
