BSJ Daily Briefing 08.31.18: Pats cuts loom, Sox rally again

Good morning!

• The Pats made it out of the preseason in one piece last night down in Jersey. Some interesting names to look at as far as the cut bubble goes and Chris took a look at some on the defensive side.


• Very cool to see some bonding with Solder and some of his old teammates before the game.


• Rob Gronkowski got his long-awaited raise and Miguel breaks down everything you need to know about it.


• Red Sox rally again in Chicago to make it three straight wins after trailing 4-0 over the first five innings. Yanks dropped one at home to Detroit so the lead is back up to 8.5 games with a month to go.


• Pretty helpful for the Sox to build back up the comfortable lead like this despite dealing with so many injuries. Will make sure everyone on the roster gets the rest they need once homefield advantage is clinched in the last week.
