Good morning!
A few thoughts while contemplating whether or not the Celtics will be 13-2 and winners of 13-straight games heading into the showdown with the Warriors on Nov. 16.
- A penny for John Farrell's thoughts when he heard the Red Sox say they are not concerned about staying underneath the luxury threshold for 2018. I'm sure Farrell thinks that would have been helpful, I don't know, last season.
- I don't mind Alex Cora saying he's going to be close to the players. He needs to be himself. But that tact either winds up being very good (usually is for a couple years) or could go the other way quickly.
- Kyrie Irving had about the quietest 35-point effort that you'll see last night. Just effortless.
- What the heck is going on with David Pastrnak? Joe McDonald was ahead of the curve last week when he wrote about the Bruins needing more scoring and leadership with Pasta playing with other players. How's it going this week? Not good. Pasta gave up two goals and a penalty shot with sloppy play to make the margin of victory less than comfortable.
- Stephon Gilmore should be back in the lineup this week. That should be interesting.
