EAGLES NOTES

  • Watch Eagles LT Jordan Mailata. The former rugby player dominated in practice this week and has come out of nowhere to grab the job over former first round pick Andre Dillard
  • TE Tyree Jackson, who I actually liked as a QB out of Buffalo, landed awkwardly in practice, broke a bone and will be out a while. I'd keep an eye on this with the Patriots. He looked good in practice and I could see Bill Belichick trying to steal him.
  • Even without Jackson, the Eagles' TEs will be a very good test for the Patriots tonight. Dallas Goedert has gone to another level, and Zach Ertz still has some left.
  • WR Jalen Reagor had two very good practices vs. Patriots.
  • QB Jalen Hurts threw the ball much better than I remember seeing, but most of it was out of the pocket. Easier throws. Let's see how he does from the pocket.
  • CB JC Jackson had issues with WR Quez Watkins.
  • Eagles players who were dinged up this week: DE Derek Barnett (shoulder), WR Devonta Smith (knee), safety K’Von Wallace (groin), linebacker Genard Avery (groin), receiver Andre Patton (knee), tackle Le’Raven Clark (ramp up).
