Final: Blue Jays 6, Red Sox 1 - Red Sox lose second game in a row against Blue Jays struggling to score runs
The Red Sox lose their second game in a row to the Toronto Blue Jays struggling to score runs.
In one of the coldest recorded games at Fenway Park, both teams struggled to generate runs at the plate. Both Garrett Crochet and Blue Jays starter Easton Lucas pitched scoreless outings up into the 5th inning.
In the 6th inning, the Blue Jays scored the first runs of the game as the Red Sox struggled in the field to support their ace.
Meanwhile on Toronto's end, Lucas finished his outing striking out 8 Red Sox batters leaving Boston scoreless in the run column.
Even after Lucas came out of the game, the Red Sox still couldn't produce runs, only scoring one run in the 7th inning.
The Red Sox will continue their series with Toronto tomorrow with another first pitch time at 6:45. Tanner Houck gets the start at the bump.

WHAT'S UP
The Red Sox look to split their series against the Toronto Blue Jays as Garrett Crochet makes his first start of the season in Fenway Park.
The Red Sox made four roster moves Tuesday.Boston designated righty Robert Stock for assignment after he spent one day on the roster and recalled right-hander Josh Winckowski from Triple-A Worcester. The Red Sox also officially placed catcher Connor Wong on the 10-day injured list with a left fifth finger fracture and recalled Blake Sabol to take his spot.
Alex Cora said Wong’s fracture is “a very small one” and it will be reevaluated on a weekly basis. (MassLIve)
Lucas Giolito’s rehab start in Worcester will have to wait for another day after the WooSox postponed their Tuesday game at Polar Park.
