FINAL: Bruins 3, Wild 0 - McAvoy, Frederic, Geekie boost Boston to second-straight win

Good stuff from the Bruins tonight as they won their second straight game.

Obviously, the Wild are scuffling (they've been blanked 9-0 in their past two games) but the Bruins played really sound after a very slow start when they were outshot 6-0 to open the game.

FOUR UP

Penalty kill: Bruins killed all four penalties without much issue with 4 shots allowed and 1 high-danger chance.

Jeremy Swayman: Was in total control and thwarted 15 high-danger chances.

Trent Frederic: He was excellent throughout and added a goal.

Matthew Poitras: Was a +2 with a net 10 shots four, 4 against in his just 13:30 of ice time.

Mark Kastelic: Definitely a bit rusty in his return.

Oliver Wahlstrom: 4 penalty minutes.

- The Bruins activated Mark Kastelic from injured reserve. Kastelic had been in concussion protocol since leaving the Jan. 20 game against San Jose. Hampus Lindholm (lower-body) is unlikely to return.

- Minnesota is just 4-6-0 in its last 10 games. Had a three-game win streak before taking a 6-0 loss Saturday at Ottawa. 

- Forward Ryan Hartman was ejected for intent to injure Ottawa’s Tim Stutzle. He declined an in-person hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Monday, which resulted in a 10-game suspension.

- The Bruins are 6-9-0-1 in 16 home games.

- The Bruins are opening tonight their seventh of nine sets of back-to-back games this season ... They are currently 2-4-0 in the first game of those sets and 5-0-1 in the second games so far.

- The Bruins play tonight game two of their seven-game February schedule with a game vs. the Wild ... They continue with a road game tomorrow at NY Rangers and a home game on Feb. 8 vs. Vegas ...
