PREGAME NOTES
- Jim Montgomery to reporters at the morning skate on his starting goaltender: “Do you guys play Wordle? The starting goalie tonight has two vowels in his first and last name.
“I don’t know why we would divulge information. When you’re preparing for a game, there’s parts of the goaltender that are part of the pre-scout. I don’t tell my wife. I’m not telling you.”
- Bruins have not trailed for one minute in now five games against Toronto this season.
- William Nylander was on the ice for the morning skate but not taking part. No changes for Toronto.
- The Bruins recalled defenseman Derek Forbort from his LTI conditioning loan with the Providence Bruins.
“He’s not an option tonight, but he’s making progression,” Montgomery said.
