Final: Celtics 107, Timberwolves 105 - C's hold off late Minnesota run
BOSTON CELTICS (13-3) vs MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (8-7)
TD Garden, 3:30 p.m. - NBCS Boston
Line: Boston -8.5
INJURIES
Boston: Kristaps Porzingis (OUT, ankle), Luke Kornet (OUT, hamstring tightness)
Minnesota: Mike Conley (OUT, toe)
THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR
1. Attack!: Make Rudy Gobert move and cover some ground. Pull him out of position by attacking the rim and kicking the ball out. The more space he has to guard, the more openings the Celtics will have.
2. Keeping Anthony Edwards in check: He’s having a monster shooting season from 3, but the Celtics can’t overreact to him behind the arc because he really wants to drive and dunk on people. He can fall into the habit of settling and that's when he tends to miss. C’s can’t allow the points in the paint to be as big a problem as they have been, especially not because Edwards is getting to the rim at will.
3. Force turnovers: The Timberwolves are turnover-prone. They're the fifth-worst turnover team and eighth-worst in points off turnovers. The Celtics need to lock in and capitalize on those mistakes.
Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
