THINGS I’M LOOKING FOR

1. Energy: I see this back-to-back as one of the tests of this portion of the schedule. The Celtics just had a big game against New York and they have a big one on Friday against Cleveland. The Pistons have risen above “easy win” stage, having won seven games in a row to stake a strong claim to the sixth seed. That makes this game against Toronto the “relax” game.

So let’s see just how relaxed Boston is. I think there might be a little bit of a letdown, but with Holiday, Horford, and Kornet all out, there will be opportunities for guys with more energy to step up.

2. Jayson Tatum’s passing: This will be a nice test of his manipulation of the defense. He doesn’t have his usual cast of characters with him, so let’s see him pull some puppet strings and help a different group of guys get going.

3. Torrey Craig: This will be a nice chance to get him bigger minutes. Let’s see what his chemistry looks like with everyone and how he fits into the defensive plan. If he looks good, it could be a way to earn more minutes even with a full roster.

Follow along with my thoughts as the game goes on. They’ll show up below and in the comments section, so hop in and share your opinion as well.
