Final: Senators 6, Bruins 5 (F/SO) - Bruins blow 2 goal lead in 3rd period losing to Senators in shootout
In one of the most chaotic games of the season, the Bruins fall to the Senators 6-5 in a shootout.
It was a bad start to the game for the Bruins as Boston was unable to maintain possession of the puck for the first 10 minutes of the game. During this span, the Senators tallied two goals giving them an early 2-0 lead.

Then things started to get feisty. Elias Lindholm was shaken up from a hit when he didn't have possession of the puck, and the Bruins weren't happy. With tempers flaring, Brad Marchand received a four minute roughing penalty which resulted in a power play goal from Ottawa that tied the game yet again.

This was a wild game for the Bruins. There were a lot of great moments Boston showcased throughout this game, but the Bruins came up short when it mattered most. This game would've been a different story if the Bruins were able to defend the man advantage late in the third period, but failed breakouts kept the puck in their own zone giving Ottawa the opportunity to tie the game up.
Despite allowing five goals (not counting the shootout goal) in this game, Swayman came up strong for the Bruins. Boston's goalie saved 40 of 45 shots making multiple key saves which kept Boston competitive the entire way. Overall, a very sour ending to what could've been a great game for the Bruins.
The Bruins will now head back to Boston to face the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Puck drop will be at 1 p.m.
