PREGAME NOTES
The Bruins will receive a major lift up front, as Brad Marchand will play on Thursday — close to a month ahead of schedule after recovering from offseason hip surgery. Marchand will return to his usual spot next to Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk on the top line.
With Marchand back, A.J. Greer will slot out of the lineup, with Pavel Zacha bumped down to the third line next to Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic.
On defense, Jakub Zboril will slot in for Mike Reilly on the left side. Reilly was assigned to Providence to make room for Marchand on the 23-man roster.
Jeremy Swayman will get the start in net.
