Final: Bruins 3, Flyers 0 - Korpisalo gets 1st shutout as a Bruin in win against Philadelphia
The Bruins get back into the win column after defeating the Flyers 3-0 in Philadelphia. With Jeremy Swayman taking a rest day, Joonas Korpisalo got the start in net and delivered his best performance of the season. The Bruins played smart defense in front of their backup goalie, and Korpisalo shut down every offensive chance Philadelphia had including an incredible 2-on-1 cross-crease save against Morgan Frost.

The Bruins scored their first goal of the game midway through the first period. Spending the majority of the period in Philadelphia's offensive zone, Matthew Poitras trickled in the first goal of the game in front of the net with help from Morgan Geekie.

In the following period, Justin Brazeau would then score Boston's second goal of the game off a great assistant from Brad Marchand. The Flyers had a great opportunity to tie the game, but once Boston gained possession of the puck, Marchand retrieved a lengthy breakout pass which brought the Bruins into their offensive zone. Marchand did a great job keeping both his balance and possession of the puck, and the captain eventually dished the puck to a trailing Brazeau in the slot for a highlight-reel assist.

The Bruins maintained their defensive presence the rest of the game, and with a little less than five minute remaining, Marchand scored the empty net goal sealing the victory for Boston.
This was a much improved game for the Bruins today. They played smart a smart game not turning over the puck and staying out of the penalty box. Boston played a great defensive game in front of their backup goal, and Korpisalo delivered giving Boston the shutout.
The Bruins will now return back to Boston to face off against the Seattle Kraken tomorrow at 5 p.m.
