- Boston is playing their normal starters. Robert Williams (knee) and Nik Stauskas (ankle) are out.
- Here’s Memphis’ injury list. I didn’t want to type it out. Here’s what they tweeted.

- Boston is favored by 8
- If Boston wins, they will be the 2 seed. If they lose, and Philadelphia wins, then they will be the 4 seed and play Toronto. If they lose and Philly loses, they’ll be the 3 seed and play Chicago.
- Brooklyn and Cleveland will play Tuesday with the winner becoming the East’s 7th seed.
GOING A LITTLE DEEPER
- “We’ll do what we do”
Ime Udoka is not phased by whomever his team might face in the first round.
“Everybody's talking about Brooklyn, but they have a play-in game to win,” Udoka said before the game. “Certain teams can run from certain teams and end up that team not even be in there, so we’ll do what we do and kind of let chips fall where they may.”
The focus for Udoka and the Celtics is simply making sure they're playing their best basketball at the right time.
“It's more worried about what we're doing,” he said. As we've seen in our last two games, where we had some guys missing, we played well in Toronto, took them to overtime, and lost a close one to Milwaukee. So we know how dangerous teams can be without their players and opportunity for other guys. And so can’t have a letdown as far as that.”
He is also aware that he can’t overdo it with minutes.
“Still want to work on what we've been doing and help (Danie) Theis and Derrick (White) and some of those guys that have kind of stepped up the last week or so. So we'll look at that, but at the same time be smart with our guys. Don't want to have anything happen in the last game.”
The bottom line for the Celtics here is this is their last live action before the playoffs. Their guys need some run, and Udoka will give it to them.
THREE THINGS TO WATCH FOR
1. Will the starters play a full game? Udoka kind of made it seem like he’d play it by ear and if the Pistons are handily beating the Sixers, then he might dial back the minutes for his starters. It’s also possible Boston will spend 24 minutes demolishing Memphis’ C team and then sit their guys in the second half.
2. Health: Just come out of this intact, okay?
3. Not messing around: If the coach is going to play you, then go play real basketball. Play the way you’re supposed to play, get that live work in, log 20 minutes or so, and set the second half … or at least the fourth quarter.
