PREGAME NOTES:

The Bruins’ top-six unit took a major hit on the injury front, as Craig Smith will miss Game 2 after suffering a lower-body injury during Saturday’s Game 1 win. Jake DeBrusk will take Smith’s spot on the second line, while Karson Kuhlman will draw into the lineup and skate on the third line.

Kevan Miller is still ruled out due to a likely concussion, while Matt Grzelcyk will play despite briefly leaving Game 1 due to a heavy check from Leo Komarov.

The Islanders’ lineup will remain the same as it was in Game 1 - meaning that BC product Oliver Wahlstrom still remains out of the lineup. Barry Trotz did not reveal who will start in net for New York.

Brad Marchand sits one point shy of becoming the seventh player to record 100 points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Bruins franchise – teammates David Krejci (120 points) and Patrice Bergeron (117) have already reached the milestone. No current team has more than two players on their roster with 100 career postseason points.
