PREGAME NOTES

After a dramatic 4-3 overtime win in Game 2 on Monday night, the Bruins will look to carry over some momentum on Wednesday night against the Capitals in Game 3 at TD Garden. This stands as Boston’s first playoff game on Causeway Street since Game 7 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Final back on June 12, 2019.

Boston will roll out the same lineup from Monday’s Game 2 victory, with Tuukka Rask once again the starter in net.

Teams that win Game 3 after a best-of-7 series is tied 1-1 are 223-107 (67.6 percent), including 3-1 in the first round last season.

While Boston’s lineup is largely set in stone, the same can’t be said for the Capitals — as the status of Evgeny Kuznetsov, Ilya Samsonov, T.J. Oshie, Lars Eller and Vitek Vanecek have yet to be determined for Game 3. Both Oshie and did not skate during Wednesday’s morning skate.
