- Very busy day in Celtics land as we heard from Danny Ainge, Brad Stevens and Gordon Hayward for the first time since Hayward elected to sign with the Hornets on a four-year deal last weekend.
- Above all else, it appears a bigger role for Hayward within the team's offense was at the top of his priority list during free agency and that's not something the Celtics would be able to budge on much with their commitment to a younger core. Without him, the focus turns now to how the C's can utilize their trade exception.
- Kemba Walker and Romeo Langford are also going to be out until at least January so the pressure will be on Boston's young players and new additions to step up out of the gate this season.
