Well, if one member of the Arizona Cardinals organization is any indication, there are more than a few people there who aren't thrilled the team lost receiver/kick returner Damiere Byrd to the Patriots on a one-year contract.

Here are the source's comments on Byrd. They were granted anonymity so he could give an honest assessment — the strong and weak points — of the 2015 undrafted free agent of the Panthers out of South Carolina:

"He's one of those guys that it really hurts to lose them."

What's the scouting report?

"He's got excellent speed, he's got good hands and he's got good football intelligence. I think with some playing time last year ... he started off good and there was a lull in the middle. The biggest thing with him is consistency. He's got very good tools and he's a high-character guy, you love him as a person. He wants to do things the right way, good intelligence, very well-spoken. It's hard to lose him.

"You know the business in this job, but when you have a guy like him ... I think he has a really good upside and if he just stays consistent, he'll be fine."

That he was available, it set off alarm bells for an issue, but they did draft Andy Isabella...

"Andy's not as instinctive. Damiere was a running back in high school and I think he went to South Carolina as a running back and then switched over. I really like him as a player. I think every year is critical for a player, he's been in the league four years. He's got a great opportunity.

Can he work the middle? Tough? Or more perimeter guy?

"He's more of a perimeter guy. I've never seen him shy away. When we lost to the Rams, he has a big game, about (7 catches, 74 yards) and goes in the goal line and makes a really nice catch.
