A few random thoughts while I wonder what Belichick will do after hanging in Mobile...
- Adam Schefter believes the Patriots will want an answer from Tom Brady before the tampering period starts. I don't think Brady should play ball.
- By the way ... that would mean the Patriots would have to make him an offer before then. Will they? I would hope the Krafts at least discuss the framework of a deal.
- One thing I didn't touch on in the column, the Rob Gronkowski comp is not apt. Gronk decided to retire. Brady said he's not retiring ... unless there's something the Patriots know that we don't on that front.
- There are reports the Red Sox are talking to the Padres about a Mookie Betts deal. Sean McAdam doubts they'll get very far because it doesn't make much sense.
- B-Robb has you covered if you're looking for a stretch shooter for the Celtics.
- Have the Bruins found something in their latest middle-6 shuffle?
