BSJ Daily Briefing 01.06.19: Patriots enter an offseason like no other, Celtics back on the court

Good afternoon!

A few random thoughts while I wonder how many jerseys Jarrett Stidham will sell...

• Still strange the Patriots' season ended on Saturday night ... think we're all in denial and secretly preparing for them to play the Chiefs.


• In my opinion, the writing was on the wall for this team back in August when Bill Belichick's roster decisions seemed really curious. He bet everything on the defense, and even those guys didn't do their part. They had to be great. They weren't.


• Thanks to Paul Kuharsky for giving us the Nashville view all week.


• Will start breaking the game down shortly, and then we'll get into season-review stuff.


• Now, everything hinges on Tom Brady. What will happen?


• Viner does his links thing off the game.


• What's up with the Celtics' Memphis pick?


• The Celtics won't be trading for Andre Drummond.


• Fearless predictions for the Red Sox.


• 10 predictions for the Bruins ... a Stanley Cup?
