BSJ Daily Briefing 12.09.19 - Patriots fall to Chiefs, Gordon Hayward set to return?

Good morning!

• The Patriots’ comeback against the Chiefs came up short on Sunday night. While New England’s offense didn’t do enough to dig the team out of 20-7 deficit at halftime, it’s tough to ignore the impact that Jerome Boger’s crew had in this matchup. Just brutal stuff. 


• Still, as has been the case whenever these two teams meet, we were all treated to a fantastic bout between two quality teams. Perhaps we could see another rematch next month? 


• The Celtics will host the Cavaliers later tonight, and … Gordon Hayward might actually play? What a plus for the C’s, who still managed to go 9-4 without Hayward in the lineup.


• After dropping their first game in regulation in close to a month, the Bruins are hoping that Saturday’s “wake-up call” against the Avalanche translates to a 60-minute effort Monday night up in Ottawa. 


• Get ready - the MLB Winter Meetings are underway over in San Diego.
