Bedard's Daily Briefing 10.01.19: What's up with the Patriots offense? Red Sox continue not to get it, C's media day taken at BSJ Headquarters (Regular Features)

Good morning!

A few random thoughts while I wonder how much the Red Sox would raise ticket prices if they actually won this season ...

  • Felger & Mazz made my column a central part of their show on Monday (you're welcome ... again). Just so you know, I don't read anyone else in the aftermath of the game to keep my mind clean and to avoid the groupthink that can develop

  • So my Antonio Brown comments weren't aimed at anyone specifically for what they had written. I heard the question in the postgame press conference, thought it was ridiculous, and referenced it in my column.

  • Brown sabotaged himself, was never going to play another down here, so why the hell would you keep bringing him up? Because you have nothing original to write and you're looking to elicit a reaction, that's why.

  • And, no, he wouldn't have helped all that much against the Bills. The offense just sucked. Brady included. Days like that happen every season. Don't go whining about the weapons.

  • So the Red Sox aren't likely to bring back Martinez and Betts ... as long as Martinez opts out, that's not going to be an issue.

  • The Red Sox are raising ticket prices. Good luck with that.

  • Alex Cora also wouldn't admit the pitching plan was wrong in spring training ... uh ...

  • Boston's going to love Kemba Walker
