On the bright side, at least this loss didn't take six hours or 15 innings.
The Sox dropped their second straight to the San Francisco Giants, 11-3, as the Giants piled on with seven runs in the final two innings, rapping out 15 hits.
After the Giants sprinted to a 4-0 lead after the first three innings, the Red Sox countered with a solo homer from Rafael Devers (No. 30) in the sixth and three straight singles to create a run in the seventh.
But the Giants kept adding on to win the series and drop the Red Sox to 9-10 in interleague play this season.

WHAT's UP: The Red Sox saw a three-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night withy a 7-6, 15-inning loss to the Giants...That evened their interleague record to 9-9 for the year....A total of 24 pitchers appeared in the game -- 13 for the Giants, 11 for the Red Sox -- tying the MLB record for one game....The Sox fell one pitcher shy of tying the franchise record of 12, set Sept. 5, 2017 against Toronto.....The game -- at 5 hours and 54 minutes -- was the longest of the season....It was also the third-longest game in MLB this season...The game was the fourth-longest by time in Fenway history...The record is 6:07 vs. Baltimore on May 6, 2012....It was the 15th extra-inning game for the Sox this season tying them for the most among A.L. teams.
