Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder how much room the Red Sox still have to make up...
- Seriously, I looked back at the standings from before the series and the Sox picked up two games on the Yankees (naturally #math) and just one in the wild-card standings after winning three of four.
- OK, I think we're all sort of sick of this Chris Sale thing by now. The Red Sox do all that work, hand him the ball after two good starts, and he spits the bit on finishing the sweep. This is why you pay him $30 million. Or, at least, that's the idea.
- I don't blame JBJ for that big two-run error. Stuff happens in baseball. And, no, the pitcher shouldn't have been there. He should have been backing up the plate.
- Sox can't relax now after Monday's day off. Another set against the Rays and Yankees.
- A lot of fun to be had out at Patriots this weekend and, as usual, the crowds were tremendous. Practices were a little boring, but this is the new normal.
- Very impressed by Michael Bennett in a number of ways on Sunday. Fans are really going to like his play and his attitude.
- Patriots have some really nice pieces on the defensive line now.
- Maurice Harris is the team's best receiver at the moment. No, that's not a bad thing. Good player.
- Brandon Bolden is one of those guys I could watch play football all day. He's just a good football player.
- You know you want it: NBA 2020 Free Agency.
- You know you want it: NHL power rankings.
