FOXBOROUGH — All you need to know about the Revolution’s 1-1 draw with the Philadelphia Union Wednesday in quickie form, complete with BSJ analysis and insight:

HEADLINES

Late Philly goal spoils Arena’s home debut: Two points dropped in what Bruce Arena had termed a game the Revolution needed a win in. With the Revs ahead, 1-0, and six minutes remaining of the normal 90 left and the hosts holding on with what had been solid defending, the defending did not do enough to keep visiting Philadelphia off the scoreboard and to preserve the win. Fafa Picault had sped into the box and split between Edgar Castillo and Jalil Anibaba, before he crossed off Andrew Farrell’s foot. It was already heading in, but Kacper Przbylko made sure it did to level the score at 1-1. The draw keeps the Revolution (4-8-5) at 11th place in the Eastern Conference after 17 matches — with 17 points earned.

QUOTABLE QUOTES

“You like to believe that you can close the game out and walk off with three points, but give Philadelphia credit. They push hard in the second half; I thought they got through our midfield too easy and put our back line under pressure too often.”
— Bruce Arena
