PREGAME NOTES:

  • The Bruins will be going into enemy territory on Saturday night, as the Blues are set to host their first Stanley Cup Final matchup in St. Louis in 49 years. The Enterprise Center is going to be buzzing for Game 3, but the Bruins have more than held their own away from TD Garden this postseason, posting a 6-2 record on the road this spring.

  • "It’s fun, as a group, when you go into a building, be the opposing team and come out victorious, because you’re sending home a lot of people unhappy,” Torey Krug said. "I think we relish that role quite a bit.”

  • Since 1939, when the Cup Final went to the best-of-7 format, the team that wins Game 3 with the series tied 1-1 has gone on to win the Stanley Cup 78.6 percent of the time (22 of 28).

  • With Matt Grzelcyk ruled out (concussion) for Game 3, Bruce Cassidy confirmed that John Moore will indeed slot into the lineup. He last played in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Hurricanes — filling in for an injured Zdeno Chara.

  • “They come as advertised,” Moore said of the Blues on Friday. “They’ll be the first to tell you that’s the way they want to play. They certainly showed that in Game 2. They got to their game, they’re a big heavy team, they’re good below the goal line. So all areas, we’ve talked about and I think that I’ll be ready.”

  • The Blues are 30-32 (.484) in 62 all-time Game 3s in the Stanley Cup Playoffs (18-13 at home), including a 1 2 record this year (0-2 at home). The Bruins are 54-48 (.529) in Game 3s, including a 32-25 record (.561) on the road. They are 1-2 in Game 3s this year, all played away from home.

  • With Oskar Sundqvist suspended for his hit on Grzelcyk, Salem native and BC product Zach Sanford will get the call and start on the fourth line for the Blues.

  • With the series tied 1-1, there will not be a sweep in the Stanley Cup Final for a record 20th straight season (since 1998 DET: 4-0 W vs. WSH). The longest prior such streak was seven straight series, from 1953-59 and 1961-67.
