Welcome to first and 10, a roundup of all the (mostly) Patriots-related news you need to start your Tuesday. Grab your coffee and let’s get to it.
Lots of good stuff this morning, so we're going to jump right into the links.
1. I talked to Jarrett Stidham's old OC at Auburn to try and figure out why the quarterback was so good in 2017, but appeared to statistically take a step back in 2018.
2. Miguel dropped his latest salary cap recap, which looks at the financial impact of the Jacob Hollister trade, as well as how some of the UDFA signings will change things.
3. Another epic Monday afternoon Q&A is in the books. You know how I know it was epic? I got about three story ideas. BSJ subscribers are the best.
4. I spent some quality time with the fellas from 101.3 The Game in Burlington Monday afternoon talking about the Patriots and what they did in the draft.
5. Mike Reiss is part of a post-draft roundtable of ESPN writers who look at the biggest remaining offseason question for each team. When it comes to the Patriots, it's whether or not they did enough to sustain the tight end position in the post-Rob Gronkowski era.
6. Bleacher Report offers its post-draft power rankings, and the Patriots stick in the No. 1 spot.
7. Elliot Harrison of NFL.com busts out his post-draft power rankings, and drops New England to No. 2 behind the Saints.
8. This is a sweet collection of reaction shots of guys getting drafted by the Patriots. These sorts of videos are some of my favorite things about the draft every year.
9. N'Keal Harry is getting 16-1 odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Meanwhile, the Patriots remain the best bet when it comes to winning another Super Bowl. New England is 8/1, while the Rams are 9/1 and the Chiefs and Saints are 10/1.
10. Keeping in mind that it's never too early to look ahead, Eric Edholm takes a look at the top draft prospects of 2020. Good list worth bookmarking.
Extra Point:
33 players who weren't invited to the NFL Combine were drafted.
117 players who participated in the NFL Combine went undrafted.
