PREGAME NOTES:

  • For Game No. 82, the Bruins and Lightning don’t have an awful lot to play for in the grand scheme of things. However, a win for Tampa Bay would tie the record for the most wins by a NHL club in the span of one season at 62. The current record holder is the 1995-96 Red Wings, who went 62-13-7 but did not capture a Stanley Cup title. A win would also give Boston 50 wins for the second straight season.

  • As expected, a number of regulars in Boston's lineup are set to sit out today, including: Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Torey Krug, Brandon Carlo, Kevan Miller, Chris Wagner and Noel Acciari. Kevan Miller (lower-body injury) will be held out as a precaution, but he is expected to practice Monday.

  • Sean Kuraly (fractured hand) skated today at TD Garden. Both Kuraly and John Moore (upper-body) will be "unavailable" for Game 1 vs. Toronto," per Bruce Cassidy — but "day to day after that."

  • While the Bruins dropped both of their matchups to the Lightning at Amalie Arena this season, Boston bested Tampa in its last meeting at TD Garden, 4-1, back on Feb. 28.
