Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if Bill Belichick snuck in a muffin after his breakfast with the media on Tuesday...
- Good job, good effort by the Celtics to break their losing streak over the awful Cavs. Of course, Kyrie Irving wasn't in the lineup ... actually, he didn't make the trip. Cavs media says he hasn't been to The Q since Oct. 17, 2007.
- Don't call it load maintenance. It's rest. Period.
- Liked Brad Stevens finally sitting Marcus Morris. Hopefully, it's just the start of lineup tinkering.
- The Red Sox will finally play baseball again for real on Thursday night. Has there ever been less buzz for a season? It's all fun and games until the Sox' bullpen blows a game — which happened in last year's opener and didn't matter.
- Belichick might have outdone himself yesterday with the media. I don't think he gave one newsworthy tidbit. I think that's an all-time record.
- Seriously, he couldn't give one meaningful quote on Rob Gronkowski? No, the statement isn't good enough. The guy played for you for nine seasons. A quote would be nice ... unless Belichick's ticked off Gronkowski took his time deciding.
- In all seriousness, Belichick has been doing something in the same ballpark for years ... but every 20-30 minutes? Come on, it's time to grow up. You're in the real world now.
