Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if we can just jump ahead to the second round of the NHL playoffs...
Time to hit the links...
- Tough 5-4 loss for the Bruins last night in Tampa. They played so well for the first two periods, especially the second, but then the wheels came off a bit in the third.
- Some of it had to do with being shorthanded, but much of it was self-inflicted. Some good lessons to learn for some of the players.
- And the Lightning are just damn good. You have to play very solid for 60 minutes. Bruins just didn't hold up.
- What does that mean for a possible/probable second-round meeting between the two teams? Not much. Last year, the Bruins were 3-1 against the Lightning during the regular season and then got rolled in the postseason. This Bruins team is better, but so are the Lightning.
- Team Mood Ring takes the floor tonight in Cleveland without Kyrie. Watch them win by 40. It would be so them.
- Chris took a look at the potential trade for the Patriots at tight end. I'm going to have more on Kyle Rudolph before Noon.
