PREGAME NOTES

After missing the last 16 games due to thumb surgery,
to the lineup for Tuesday’s game in New York. While Tuesday's pregame skate was optional,
Bruce Cassidy
noted that Pastrnak will most likely return to the lineup, although he added that Pastrnak is officially listed as a game-time decision. If cleared, he will slot back in on Boston’s top forward group with
Brad Marchand
and
Patrice Bergeron
.

Aside from the addition of Pastrnak, the remainder of Boston’s lineup will remain intact from the team’s win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday, with
Paul Carey
standing as the odd man out up front.
Tuukka Rask
will get the start in net.

Elsewhere on the injury front,
Torey Krug
(concussion)
traveled with the team to New York and skated, while
Marcus Johansson
(lung contusion),
Matt Grzelcyk
(arm) and
Kevan Miller
(upper body) are all skating back in Boston. Cassidy suspects that Grzelcyk and Johansson will eventually join the team during its four-game road trip, while Miller might remain in Boston.

The Islanders have won five of their last seven games and are currently tied with the Capitals for first place in the
Metropolitan Division.
Robin Lehner
is expected to make his first start since March 5 for the Islanders, who boast the top defense in the league (2.33 goals allowed per game). Even with their impressive play this season, the Islanders have lost their last six matchups against the Bruins. Boston has also won its last seven games played at Nassau Coliseum. The Bruins' last loss there came back on Nov. 2, 2013.
