The official start of free agency begins Wednesday. Keep it here all day long for the latest updates and analysis:
10:00 p.m.: Phillip Dorsett has agreed to return to the Patriots on a one-year deal. A wise move -- the receiver adds to New England's receiver depth. Smart and dependable, he could have a larger role in 2019, provided the way the rest of the offseason shakes out for the Pats.
5:08 p.m.: A few observations Miguel pulled from this press release:
3 from the free agency press release
1.) Cody Hollister's contract did not toll as originally thought. Now a street free agent
2.) Slater's option had to have been picked up. Otherwise, he would have been listed.
3.) The compensation for Josh Gordon is listed as 2nd round.

In discussing the TE market, I passed my along what I know on #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski: His agent says he has not made a firm decision, but the team is tentatively planning as if he'll be there in 2019 and some people close to him believe he wants to play. pic.twitter.com/YRyC36Xaoi

Eric Rowe's contract includes a $500K signing bonus, the only guaranteed money in the deal. His base salary is $1.375M. He also can earn up to $1.6M in per-game roster bonuses, and he has a $25K workout bonus.

The #Patriots have maintained a level of interest in one of their own, free agent corner Jason McCourty. Was a solid addition and a pro's pro.
