PREGAME NOTES
- Stuck in a 1-2-1 rut going into their bye week, the Bruins are hoping that some time off with do them some good, as they face a tough challenge on Tuesday against a loaded Jets squad. Currently, Boston sits in the first Wild-Card spot in the Eastern Conference with 59 points, while Winnipeg leads the Central Division out West with 64 points.
- With Tuukka Rask still sidelined due to a concussion, Jaroslav Halak will get the nod in net on Tuesday. Halak hasn’t necessarily inspired much confidence in net as of late, posting a record of 1-3-0 with a .856 save percentage in four appearances so far in January.

- Former Bruin Blake Wheeler continues to be the main orchestrator of the Jets’ potent offense, with the veteran winger ranking second in the NHL with 52 assists on the season.
- Despite their strong play this year, the Jets are mired in a bit of a slump — dropping their last two games in regulation, including a loss to the Flyers on Monday. While Boston will be well-rested, the Jets are stuck on the second leg of a back-to-back tonight.
