BSJ Daily Briefing 01.28.19: Super Bowl week begins, Pats arrive in Atlanta, C's back in action

Good Morning!

• Quite the sendoff for the Patriots at Gillette yesterday with 35,000 packing the stadium ahead of the team's flight to Atlanta. Feels like this region appreciates this trip even more than usual:

• Pats have arrived in Atlanta already as of Sunday afternoon and BSJ will have boots down on the ground as well on Monday morning as Price and Bedard make the trek down. Here's to hoping the excursion takes under 15 hours this time for both of them.

• Things will kick off on Monday night with media day for both teams from the Hawks arena. Rams will have first availability around 7:50 while Pats follow up at 9.

• C's have a busy week on their hands as well back at the Garden as they try to avoid a trap game at home against a feisty Nets team who took them down a couple Mondays back. Amazingly, this is the third time these two squads will play this month.

• I wrote about a few leftover Celtics-Warriors thoughts but came away feeling good about how they looked after a second viewing. Irving needs to clean up his D against an elite opponent and the offense got stagnant at times but Horford/Tatum looked terrific.

• Bruins are expected to be back at practice as well, as they return to action on Tuesday night following the bye week.
