Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if a charging station for his robot arm will be included in Nathan Eovaldi's new Red Sox contract...
- So the Sox are close to bringing The Workhorse back into the fold. Sean McAdam has the details...
- Could this blow up in Boston's face? Sure, given his injury history. But will many Red Sox fans care if he flames out after what he just pulled off in winning a World Series? Not many.
- He deserves this because his talent is tantalizing and he could fill a variety of roles if needed. And he's obviously a great locker room fit. Worth the money.
- The more I thought about the Patriots since the bye week and how they're functioning, the more I think they're getting back to the formula that ushered in this dynasty.
- No, it's not by choice — it's out of necessity.
- Is it going to work? I'm not so sure — they might not have enough offense at the end of the day — but it could be a fascinating experiment in the new NFL.
- All we're missing is Kevin Faulk. Bring back K-Feezy!
- Bruins got blown out by the Panthers ... and Bruce Cassidy took it easy on them. Butch deserves the benefit of the doubt. We'll see what happens against a terrific Tampa team tonight.
- By my calculations and looking at the various schedules, the Bruins should lose 15-4 tonight. I'm sure that's accurate.
- The Celtics host the Knicks tonight. If Boston loses to the Knicks again ... that can't happen, right?
