8:34: Mike Matheson makes it 2-0 Florida. Poor play by Donato and Krug to try to halt the streaking defenseman.

- Not too many lineup changes for the Black and Gold on Tuesday, other than Jaroslav Halak in net and Ryan Donato bumped up to the second line. Donato will look to add some scoring punch to a top-six role, especially with Boston averaging just 1.8 goals per game in its last eight matchups.
- Charlie McAvoy skated again on Tuesday morning and was a full participant for the team’s morning practice. However, he will not play against the Panthers and is listed as “doubtful” for Thursday’s big matchup against the Lightning. However, the young defenseman has not been ruled out for Saturday’s tilt against the Maple Leafs.
- Boston’s penalty kill will be challenged against the Panthers, who have rolled out a power play with a 35.1 success rate since Nov. 1 — good for second in the NHL during that stretch.
- Roberto Luongo will be a game-time decision for Tuesday’s matchup after missing the last six games due to a knee injury. The 39-year-old netminder has a 4-3-0 record on the season with a 3.07 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
