Good morning!
A few random thoughts while I wonder if Jamal Murray is still scoring against the Celtics...
- The Bruins finally were able to beat old friends Anton Khudobin and Tyler Seguin last night with a Brad Marchand OT winner.
- Things are still really clunky for the Bruins. There's very little cohesion from the backend to the front in their attack.
- Hey, what a shock, the Bruins got goals from David Pastrnak and Marchand ... God forbid someone outside the top line scores. I mean, those nine other guys aren't getting paid or anything (yes, I'm getting tired of this ... it's like watching my son's pee-wee team).
- Yeah, having one line score will work in playoffs. Worked wonders last year.
- There's plenty of time left, and the Bruins need Charlie McAvoy back, Torey Krug with some more TOI and all that stuff, but do we really think this is going to change all that much with another 40 games? It's time for Bruce Cassidy to break up the top line and start distributing the scoring. Not for a shift here and there, for entire games.
- Tuukka Rask, after giving up his usual softie, was solid in net. But nothing that's going to send Jaroslav Halak back to the bench.
- Speaking of scuffling teams that haven't put it together yet, the Celtics lost their second-straight game, this time to the Nuggets.
- There's way too much one-on-one stuff going on with the offense, specifically Jayson Tatum.
- Maybe Jamal Murray's last-second heave will get them pissed off and their butts in gear. Glad to see they're passionate about something. Their defense could use some of that.
