I didn't realize this is such a good weekend for NFL football — well-timed after the World Series. Not only do you have Patriots-Packers, but Rams-Saints is a titanic matchup (and possible NFC championship preview) and Steelers-Ravens. This is good stuff, so don't pay attention to tonight's dog show.
And, both Chris and I are doing well on our picks. So let's get after it.
To the picks...

Bedard: Decent week last week for me. This week, I'm looking for the Packers to hang with the Patriots this week, in accordance to the last two matchups. And as far as best bet, I'm starting to become a believer in those Chargers. I'm not afraid of Philip Rivers going into Seattle (that just sounds bad typing those words ... uh oh). I was going to ride the Saints but I feel worse about picking against the Rams.
Price: I'm not doing anything to jinx my recent run of success -- I'm not even going to change my approach when it comes to the Rams in what I believe is going to be a preview of a January playoff showdown. I think Mike Pettine could have something devious in store for the Patriots, but ultimately, I think New England is going to prevail and (just barely) cover. This sets up to be a really fun week.
