ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A fourth-quarter touchdown from James White, a late pick-six from Devin McCourty and four field goals from Stephen Gostkowski were enough to lift the Patriots past the Bills, 25-6, Monday night at New Era Field.

Tom Brady finished 29-for-45 for 324 yards, but it was the play of Gostkowski and White who really helped boost New England. Gostkowski connected from 25, 40, 38 and 25 yards, which was enough to build an early lead against a punchless Buffalo team. Meanwhile, White had another impressive game with a team-high 10 catches for 79 yards, as well as eight carries for 15 yards and a touchdown. Julian Edelman chipped in with nine catches for 104 yards in the win, the fifth straight victory for the Patriots.

Meanwhile, the Bills were unable to generate much offense at all, with a pair of field-goals from Stephen Hauschka. Buffalo’s Derek Anderson ended up 22-for-39 for 290 yards and an interception while LeSean McCoy had five catches for 73 yards.

The first half was more about offensive struggle than defensive dominance. Other than the occasional gadget play, the Bills couldn’t get any sort of offensive traction against New England, setting for one field goal before the half. The Patriots were moving the ball relatively well, but simply couldn’t finish drives — Gostkowski connected on three first-half field-goal field goals to give New England a 9-3 lead going into halftime.

After a scoreless third, the Patriots pulled away in the fourth. First, White capped off a 10-play, 85-yard drive with a 1-yard plunge to make it 18-6 with just under 10 minutes left in regulation, the first touchdown of the night for the Patriots. And McCourty followed that up with an 84-yard interception return for a touchdown to make it 25-6 and finish the scoring on the night.
