A few random thoughts while I wonder if Gordon Hayward is going to play basketball this season, or is he just going to produce more videos? The guy loves his videos.
- For the life of me, I don't understand why professional athletes are on social media. Has anything good ever come out of it for them? Latest dumb social media choice: Alex Bregman poking the Red Sox and Nathan Eovaldi for no reason at all. Ask Aaron Judge about that.
- Big game tonight and it's a good thing that the Red Sox have ... Eovaldi on the mound? Didn't think I'd be saying that a month ago but who besides Rick Porcello would you want in this spot? I'd pass on Chris Sale and David Price at this point. That's a lot of money.
- It's obviously good for the Red Sox, but I miss watching Jose Altuve at 100 percent. Guy is one of the best in the game at any position. Knee injury has totally robbed him. Bummer.
- Excited to see the C's debut tonight for obvious reasons, but kind of intrigued to see the Sixers and if they've learned from last season.
- I still can't believe the Patriots gave up 31 points and nearly blew a 24-9 lead in the second half at home. When does that ever happen? And it wasn't all about the Chiefs.
