Good morning!
- Quite the night for the New England sports fan. Patriots take care of business against the only remaining undefeated team in the AFC while the Sox even things up in the ALCS thanks to some timely hitting at Fenway.
- The Pats are back on track for a bye in the AFC with the win, putting themselves at 4-2 with a packed group of teams, including the Dolphins who won despite missing a host of offensive players on Sunday against the Bears. With the head-to-head edge over the Chiefs after the win, homefield advantage is a very realistic goal once again despite a tough upcoming schedule. Great wall-to-wall coverage from Chris and Conor at Gillette and Greg will be having a column coming later this morning.
- The Sox made it a series at Fenway after getting some big contributions from unlikely sources (JBJ leading the way). As Sean writes, the biggest development over this postseason has been the top setup men in the Sox pen stepping up to the plate after Game 1 last series. Barnes and Braiser have been terrific for the last few games now and Joe Kelly has been solid as well. A very encouraging development heading into Houston.
- Things will stay busy here over the next week with a Red Sox/Celtics doubleheader on Tuesday night (pretty nice timing there with 5 p.m. start for Sox) following by the Bruins hitting the road to try to add to their four-game winning streak out West.
