And you thought the Red Sox' bullpen had issues?
The Sox erupted for 11 runs in the seventh inning against four different Miami Marlins relievers, erasing a two-run deficit and turning it into a giant lead in a 14-6 rout, their second win in a row.
The Sox sent 15 hitters to the plate and at one point, eight straight hitters reached. It was, naturally, the biggest inning the Sox have had all year. Andrew Benintendi made all three outs in the inning, with a sacrifice bunt and a double play.
Six different Red Sox hitters ended up with multiple hits, including two who weren't in the starting lineup.
Red Sox starter David Price was forced to leave the game after three innings when he took a comebacker off his left wrist in recording the final out the third. X-rays were negative and the Sox announced he had a contusion.
IN-GAME OBSERVATIONS:
9:23 Well, that was something, wasn't it? The Red Sox send 15 batters to the plate, score 11 runs off four Miami relievers, bash out 12 hits and Andrew Benintendi makes all three outs.
8:55 The Marlins chose to have pinch-hitter Blake Swihart hit righthanded -- from where he was hitting just .125 -- and brought in lefty Adam Conley to get that matchup. But the move backfires as Swihart slaps a single into left field, bringing the Sox to within a run.
8:43 Red Sox announce that x-rays on Price's wrist were negative, with further testing to be done as needed.
7:58 The Sox can't seem to figure out Starlin Castro - he had a homer and a triple and two runs scored Tuesday night and so far tonight, he's got two run-scoring singles.
7:36 Price is done for the night, with the Red Sox announcing that he has a left wrist contusion. Hector Velazquez on. Price took a comebacker off the bat of Austin Dean. The ball, traveling about 102 mph, caromed off him to first baseman Steve Pearce, who fed Price for the out. Price then went directly down the tunnel with a trainer.
7:16 Taking a relay throw from outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., Xander Bogaerts double-clutched -- or had difficulty transferring the ball from his glove -- and that may have cost him. Brian Anderson just beats the tag at the plate, scoring all the way from first on a double by J.T. Realmuto.
7:07 It may not rival the grand slam, 13-pitch at-bat by Mookie Betts against Toronto last month, but an impressive battle waged -- and won -- by Eduardo Nunez, who homers on the 12th pitch he sees, after fouling off seven pitches during the at-bats. It's the second homer in as many nights for Nunez.
6:49 David Price got ahead of Derek Dietrich 0-and-1, then threw a fat changeup over the heart of the plate, which Dietrich proceeded to deposit into the right field box seats for his 16th homer and a 1-0 Marlins lead. That's just the second homer allowed by Price in his last seven starts.
WHO: Red Sox vs. Miami Marlins
WHEN: 6:35 p.m.
WHERE: Fenway Park
WHAT'S UP: The Red Sox snapped a three-game losing streak with the ugliest win imaginable Tuesday, earning an 8-7 walk-off victory. The Sox have also won 21-of-25 in interleague play, including 18-of-21 at home against National League opponents. Boston has a chance to sweep the season series from the Marlins -- they're 3-0 so far -- and they have David Price on the mound. In Price's last 18 starts, the Sox have won 16. The Sox' power has dropped off of late - last night marked only the second time in the last eight games in which they hit at least one homer. The Marlins, who have lost two straight, are pitching well over the last eight games (2.41 collective ERA), but offensively, they're hitting just .241 in that same span.
STARTING PITCHERS: LHP David Price (14-6, 3.50) vs RHP Trevor Richards (3-7, 4.23).

NEWS AND NOTES:
- LHP Chris Sale played catch in the outfield for the third straight day and is happy with his progress, but the Red Sox are still not offering a timetable for what's next.
- RHP Steven Wright responded well to his two-inning rehab effort for Pawtucket Tuesday night and will travel with the Red Sox to Chicago Wednesday night. Wright may throw a bullpen Thursday and will be activated Saturday, Sept. 1, when rosters expand.
- Cora confirmed that the Sox would be adding a number of players to the roster -- presumably, some of the injured, like Eduardo Rodriguez and Wright and possibly Rafael Devers -- with additional players added Tuesday, after the Pawtucket season is over.
